A propos de International Organization for Migration

On 12 January 2010, Haiti was severely hit by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake that left an estimated 1.3 million displaced, principally within the capital city of Port-au-Prince, as well as the surrounding regions. The level of damage caused to public and private infrastructure has led to the establishment of hundreds of spontaneous displacement sites. In accordance with the IASC recommendations, a cluster coordination system has been established, currently consisting of 12 clusters.

IOM, as the country level lead agency of (since September 2011) the Emergency Shelter and (since January 2010) the Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) clusters, has launched large-scale relief operations in support of the victims of this tragedy. The Emergency Shelter and CCCM Clusters in Haiti cover multiple areas, including, inter alia: NFIs, Emergency/Transitional shelters, site planning, IDP return and relocations activities and camp management.
