Resources Mobilization Support Manager at Plan Haiti

Description du poste:

Job Purpose:
In order to continue and increase Plan Haiti’s programs and services for children, young people and communities and to fulfil Plan’s obligations to donors, the Resource Mobilization support Manager (RMSM) and his/her team expand and diversify Plan’s grant portfolio; ensure accurate and detailed financial and narrative reports are provided to donors and oversee compliance with requirements and conditions of grant agreements and contracts. He/she is a member of the Country Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
• In close cooperation with Program, Admin and Finance, develop a Resource Mobilization Strategy and ensure its implementation
• Provide adequate training to field staff on Specific Grants management skills (including proposal-writing and report-writing)
• Prospect and Identify funding opportunities
• Establish and maintain contact with prospective funding agencies and/or partners
• Facilitate Grants Negotiations in Plan’s behalf (to the best extent, minimize useless pressure and requirements)
• Review and finalize all Proposals before formal submission
• Ensure post-project contacts are maintained with donors for future opportunities
• Provide Support and Follow-Up on Grants commitments (evaluations, baseline surveys, audits, proper close-out, etc…)
• Follow Up on Grants Implementation and ensure that all expenditures are incurred on appropriate and approved budget lines
• Act as Country Point Person for all Grants queries to and from all NOs and/or Donors
• Ensuring accurate, transparent and timely financial and narrative reporting to donors and National Organizations, in close cooperation with Program and Finance colleagues
• Establishing and maintaining tracking systems, processes, documentation (grants filing system), and databases for effective grants management and tracking
• Ensuring cost recovery of grant-related administrative costs
• Line management, supervision and mentoring of Grants department staff
• Objective setting, planning and implementation in grant fundraising and management in alignment with Plan Haiti’s goals and objectives in rights-based programming for children and young people

Qualifications requises:

Minimum Requirements
• University degree in Social Sciences
• Five-year (5) experience in leveraging and managing grants

Skills required for the position:
• Communicates in a clear, articulate way in both speech and writing, and in English and French
• Presents clear, coherent arguments backed up by facts and relevant information
• Listens to others and takes their views into account
• Demonstrate strong representational and advocacy skills
• Good team-player
• Excellent negotiation and management skills
• Computer literate (Word and Excel)

This is a senior management position based in the Country Office, Port au Prince. The position reports directly to the Country Director (CD).
