SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
To develop and implement medical (curative and preventive) policies and systems for BRANA, within global rules and guidelines, aimed at the effective management of the medical services.
Advise and inform BRANA Management on all socio-medical issues and developments from an independent position, in both a proactive and reactive way.
To initiate and/or implement socio-medical projects in co-operation with Global Health Affairs, HEINEKEN International, and if strategically desirable, external organizations.
To participate in HEINEKEN International Projects when necessary, e.g., Alcohol and Work, HIV/AIDS, and other responsibility management projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS OF THE POSITION:
Develop and implement a company medical policy
Prepare evidence based treatment guidelines and supervise implementation
Advise management on the nature, quality and performance of the health services
Routine consultation of patients
Implement, initiate and supervise health promotional activities such as periodic health assessments, health surveillance and implement recommendations
Develop guidelines for the determination of fitness to work.
Advising management on job redeployment
Manage sickness absence with a view to minimize work related losses and support quick return to work
Advise BRANA Management on observed relevant health related trends
Design a needs-based drug formulary adapted to the functional level of the clinics.
Ensure the clinic has a functional medical emergency protocol.
Participate in TPM Safety Pillar activities
Implement and supervise the Heineken HIV/AIDS work place program
Development, implementation and monitoring of the Managed Care scheme
Registration of all employees and dependents under the scheme
Advise on selection of Health Maintenance Organization
Advise on selection of provider hospitals
Advise on range of services to be covered
Advise on handling of exclusions
Implement Medical Policy for Expatriates
Update and refresh knowledge, attitudes and practices of medical staff
Implement preventive medical activities (immunizations, etc.)
Development and Implementation of information systems and procedures
Contribute to corporate budget planning and maintain adequate budget follow-up and control
Prevention of work related incidents and accidents as well as occupational illnesses
Maintain a national network with relevant medical institutions, government agencies, medical advisers of other members of the organized private sector (Total, Digicel etc.), to be informed on socio-medical developments, and to take initiative or projects in cooperation with them
Qualifications requises:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
Level of Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery
Field of Education: General Medicine
At least 7 experience in a relevant medical facility as a doctor
Excellent written and verbal communicator at all levels
Very good planning skills
LANGUAGE(S):
Fluent in French and English
