Services to Assist the CFI to Generate Investment Leads

The Center for Investment Facilitation (CFI) founded in 2006, is a parastatal organization overseen by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The objective of the CFI is to facilitate and promote private investment in Haiti, through:
Fast track incorporation
Access to Haitian business network
Studies and information

From the website - - since 2006, the CFI has helped establish 110 companies valued at 850 million U.S. dollars, and created more than 60,000 jobs. However, the political situation prior to the earthquake and then the earthquake, have not permitted it to have as much of an impact upon investment as hoped for. So recently, the CFI has received funding and support from the Inter-American Development Bank (BID), to restructure itself with the goal of having a larger impact.

Assist CFI to design and implement a lead generation and outreach activity to the target audience identified by the CFI.

The consultant will:
• Contribute to the design of the promotional material, and tailored presentations
• Identifying a graduated list of potential investors
• Identify high potential short-term investors
• Plan an outreach campaign to these short-term investors
• Support the CFI in the execution of this activity, including the planning of initial contacts, external and internal visits.

• Present a list of short and long term Investors to be targeted.
• Present a plan for an outreach campaign.
• Submit all promotional materials needed.

• 30 days over a three month period

Qualifications requises:

• Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred
• The candidate must be fluent in French and English

USAID-funded Local Enterprise and Value Chain Enhancement (LEVE) project strives to increase economic growth and employment opportunities in Haiti. LEVE will expand opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to generate employment for Haitian men, women, and youth in the three development corridors: Port-au-Prince, Saint-Marc and Cap-Haïtien. LEVE will improve the competitiveness of key sectors: construction, apparel and textile, and agribusiness, working with select value chains with the most potential for growth. LEVE project’s four main components are:
Component 1: Enable MSMEs to engage with other value chain actors to mutually create value.
Component 2: Increase MSMEs access to a productive labor pool with relevant skills and competencies.
Component 3: Improve the sustainability of Haitian organizations serving target sectors and corridors.
Component 4: Identify and improve synergies among existing programs and activities.
