One of LEVE&#8217;s objectives is to support job creation and economic growth in the sector by providing support to those small designers. 
Rebuild Globally Haiti S.A., better known as deux mains designs, is an ethical fashion and footwear company manufacturing one-of-a kind artisanal collections in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Since 2011, the company has developed an innovative process to make sandals and accessories using recycled rubber and locally sourced leather. With LEVE&#8217;s support, Rebuild Globally is seeking to increase production 3 times over the next two years. The company now employs 21 individuals, and is hoping to double this number by increasing its production capacity. 
In order to achieve these goals Rebuild Globally needs to expand the size of their facility and procure some additional machinery and equipment. In order to guide them through this process, they also require the assistance of a technical expert who will provide leadership for the Manufacturing Department to ensure the successful development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and all supporting systems. 
Major areas of responsibility include processing procedures, operational SOPs, and facility design and flow SOPs. This position will be responsible for managing Manufacturing Staff and ensuring compliance to company procedures as well as regulatory agency requirements.
PURPOSE: 
The purpose of this Scope of Work is to assist Rebuild Globally Haiti S.A. to develop a phased growth plan and a factory layout, which will include: 
&#8226; Reviewing the existing manufacturing processes and operational SOPs to identify bottlenecks; 
&#8226; Assessing key production processes and defining new methods for production planning, workflow improvement as well as supply chain management; 
&#8226; Providing guidance on what machines need to be purchased to increase productivity and output;

Judgement, initiative and creativity are required in translating project tools and approaches at the enterprise level. 2. Independently produce high standard reports in English on (i) assessments findings, (ii) recommendations for

3. Review the reports of other advisors as part of the peer review Better Work quality assurance system;
4. Assist in providing high quality enterprise level consultancy services designed to improve enterprise performance

LEVE has four components:

2.	Improve productivity through increased access to skilled labor, linking private sector needs with educational and training facilities.

LEVE&#8217;s success depends upon the leadership of the private sector firms and business people who are leading the value chain upgrading efforts. As such, LEVE staff facilitates activities, working alongside Haitian business leaders to improve the competitiveness of the value chains. 

The Apparel Team Leader is the main linkage between the LEVE project and lead firms; responsible for directing and coordinating all LEVE activities and for allocating LEVE resources within the sector; and holds overall responsibility for the successful implementation of the value chain upgrading activities within their sector.  The Deputy Team Leader will support the Team Leader in the execution of the interventions in the sector and assume duties on an interim basis during the absence of the Team Leader. Specifically the Deputy Team Leader will:

&#8226;	Responsible for the maintenance of existing activities in the small designer sub-sector, and responsible for generating new activities within this sub-sector;
&#8226;	Responsible for addressing the workforce development constraints and needs within this sub-sector;

Monitoring regularly and frequently the equipment and resources of the Print Unit to ensure that the best technical use is maintained. 
To assist with telephone calls to the Design section and coordinate with Graphic Supervisor as appropriately as a result of all telephone inquiries and personal visits to the unit. 

Production 
To organize and supervise staff and resources engaged in the Printing functions 
Maintaining and developing effective systems for the receipt and control of all work received in the Printing section and work received from the unit&#8217;s Design section. 
Supervision and safe custody of customers copy including documents, plates, negatives and related items even as in the care of the company. 
Operating the production control systems and setting targets in conjunction with the Plant Manager for work to be processed by the Unit. 
Allocating work to staff to maintain deadlines set. 
Introducing and maintaining and quality control procedure within the Unit. 
Preparing and ensuring standard safe operating procedures. 
Ensuring all materials and hours worked, are recharged. 
Ensuring that clear instructions for Purchase Orders are given to staff at each stage of production and monitoring the actual progress of work against the production program. 
Liaising with all print room staff to ensure the overall effectiveness of the Print Unit. 
Requesting and issuing orders for materials required to maintain stock levels within the section. 
Supervising a training program for all new and existing staff in the use of new and existing equipment. 
Ensuring safe working practices are observed and a tidy work place maintained.
